 In late September 2021, The Secretariat of Aquaculture and Fisheries of the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (MAPA) brought together the 5 national coordinators of research projects focused on regional ecosystem approaches. It was a pleasure to present the research outcomes obtained for the Southeast and South Region of Brazil by the project “Strategic analysis for ecosystem-based fisheries management in the large marine ecosystem of Southern Brazil”.

Due to the impacts of Covid-19 on the research progress, the projects were extended until the end of 2022.
